What is Aurascribe Music Studio?
Started in 2014 by a transgender girl musician, Nyla Bates, in Columbus, Ohio. What was once a music project to produce whatever she was passionate about turned into the creative force you see today. It started out in the metal genre and branched out into electronic music and videogame OST projects in recent years.
Why the name?
Originally the project name was Catalyst which doubled as the studio name and the artist name once upon a time. Due to the commonality of the name "Catalyst" it was decided that the name needed to be something more distinct and not used by any other musical entity.Aurascribe was conjured by mixing two words, "aura" and "scribe". The idea that we create by writing about what we're feeling in and all around us. Always writing from the heart whether it's for something heavy and serious or lighthearted and whimsical.
